TFTAK expands analytical capabilities: Dumas and Kjeldahl methods now under one roof

TFTAK has acquired Dumas equipment for fast nitrogen and protein determination in feed, food, grain, and innovative ingredients. The new capability complements the Kjeldahl method already in use and enables protein analysis based on two industry standards.
Protein and nitrogen analysis in the industry is based on two established standard methods: the Kjeldahl method and the Dumas method. The Kjeldahl method has been TFTAK’s trusted standard, while the addition of the automated Dumas, or combustion, method broadens the analytical scope for protein analysis.
Having both methods available in a single laboratory enables TFTAK to perform both traditional reference testing and high-speed serial analyses. This supports data convergence and enables cross-method quality control.
