TFTAK at Life Sciences Baltics 2025 – Highlights from Vilnius

On September 17–18, TFTAK had the privilege to take part in Life Sciences Baltics 2025 in Vilnius – the leading regional event bringing together biotech, pharma, and health tech innovators. As one of six Estonian companies at the national booth organized by Enterprise Estonia, TFTAK showcased its expertise in bioprocess development, precision fermentation, and food innovation.

Stronger together in the Baltic life sciences ecosystem

The event underlined the complementary strengths of the Baltic states: Lithuania and Latvia with their strong pharma and diagnostics focus, Estonia with its growing health tech, food tech, and biomaterials sectors. A clear takeaway was that closer cooperation across the region is essential – agility, compactness, and shared ambition can help us grow faster together.

TFTAK bridging research and industry

Our team highlighted TFTAK’s unique position as a contract research organization working at TRL 3–5, bridging the gap between early-stage academic research and industry piloting. With ongoing collaborations already in place with Latvian and Lithuanian partners, the fair confirmed there is room for many more joint initiatives in precision fermentation, alternative proteins, and bioprocess optimization.

Learning and inspiration from regional leaders

The conference program, side events, and company visits arranged by Innovation Agency Lithuania provided fresh insights and valuable connections. From inspiring presentations to practical knowledge exchange, every activity contributed to strengthening the Baltic life sciences ecosystem.

We are grateful to Enterprise Estonia for the excellent organization, and to Ambassador Kaili Terras for the warm welcome in Lithuania. Special thanks to our colleagues Merli Üle, Head of Business Development, Andres Maser, Business Development Manager, and Ranno Nahku, Senior Scientist, for proudly representing TFTAK and bringing Estonian energy to Vilnius.
