Liviko's Tripsy Chillax Wins Gold at the Estonian Best Food Product Competition 2026

Functional mushroom drink Tripsy Chillax, developed by TFTAK’s food scientists for Liviko, has been awarded the title of Best Non-Alcoholic Beverage of Estonia 2026 at the Estonian Best Food Product competition. It recognises science-based food innovation and successful collaboration.
The competition, organised by the Estonian Food Industry Association, once again brought together some of the most innovative and carefully developed products from Estonia’s food sector. This year, 54 producers entered 156 products into the competition, reflecting the ambition and high quality of local food innovation. Among the recognised products, Tripsy Chillax stood out as a functional non-alcoholic beverage with a clear purpose, a bold concept, and science-based development behind it.
From an ambitious idea to an award-winning product
The idea behind Tripsy was both clear and challenging: to create non-alcoholic functional beverages with a specific, science-based effect. One product would support relaxation and slowing down; the other would help boost mood and alertness.
The result is Tripsy — a range of two functional non-alcoholic mushroom drinks that bring together natural ingredients, plant and mushroom extracts, science-based development, and the needs of a modern lifestyle.
Tripsy Chillax, the gold-award-winning product, is designed for moments when the body and mind need to slow down. It contains reishi mushroom, as well as valerian, chamomile, lemon balm, ginger, and magnesium. Its sensory profile brings together herbal tea notes with delicate hints of reishi and ginger.
Its companion product, Tripsy Euphoria, was created for moments when more energy, clarity, and a brighter mood are needed. Its flavour profile includes juniper and hibiscus with subtle shiitake notes, supported by ingredients such as acerola, green tea, guarana, schisandra, and B vitamins.
Science, sensory precision, and teamwork
For TFTAK, this project was a great example of how successful product innovation requires much more than a strong idea. Every detail matters — from functionality and sensory profile to production feasibility and clear communication.
“Tripsy was unique because the goal was to develop non-alcoholic functional drinks with a clearly defined effect. One beverage was designed to support relaxation, while the other was created to enhance mood and alertness,” said Rain Kuldjärv, food scientist at TFTAK.
The development process took longer than originally planned, but the additional time allowed the team to refine the products and achieve a stronger final result.
We would especially like to recognise Liviko’s development team, led by Hanna Kaur, for their precision, ambition, and deep understanding of what makes a product successful. The team approached the development process with exceptional attention to the sensory experience, economically viable production, and clear marketing messages.
